challenge: I'm here because i want to get back into modeling. I was a model before Grey's Anatomy and i know it sounds unfair but i wasn't a huge name. As you may know, my character Izzy has brain cancer and is most likely going to die. I may leave the show to pursue more modeling. Many people thought i was anorexic from some very gruesome pictures in the tabloids. Many people thought that i ahd lost a lot of weight do to anorexia because of my body in blue crush, and my body now. I actually had to bulk up for that role and gain 20 pounds. CHALLENGE-I'm here at CelebNTM because I want to live my dream of becoming a model. Everything in my life is good right now, but it still feels like something is missing, and I believe it's modeling. I've always wanted to model, but I never had the time when I was getting a lot of work as an actress. Then, I thought it was too late, because I'm not as young as I once was. *giggles, and wipes away a tear* I really want this, and promise to work my hardest, because I know I can do it. Challenge: Im here to break from the Disney Channel business, im always recognized as that girl from High School Musical, its such a clean image. In modeling you take risks you try different things you dont just stay that sweet innocent girl. Its about time people saw a different side of me and im here to show it. Challenge: Im here because I want to satisfy my curiousity for modeling, ive always been afraid that I was too short or not appealing enough to model, coming here is a personal journey to me, I want to know if I could really have a chance at modeling because I know if I dont at least give it a shot it will forever haunt me, and I dont plan on growing old and still having regrets. Challenge - Why am I here? Hmmm...good question...why am I here? I just don't know...JUST KIDDING! I am here because this is such a wonderful opportunity to expand my career beyond acting, and to put my look out there. I love acting, don't get me wrong, but I feel like I am more fit for fashion. Also, I think I have a look that I think could work for me and inspire others. When most people think supermodel, they think super-sexy, Victoria's Secret type of women, but that is not me. I am young and fresh, I have an innocent, doll-like look to me (which is very in-demand at the moment), I am tall and thin, and I am a natural red-head. photo - http://i379.photobucket.com/albums/o...ESSION9_A1.jpg My style is a little dressy and schoolgirl-ish, with an edge. Emma Challenge - I am here for two reasons: the first is to break free from my Hermione typecast, and the second is to further my fashion endeavors. I love portraying Hermione in the Harry Potter films and I am a big fan of the character, but people often forget that I am not Hermione off the camera, and I would like to reinvent my image. My other reason is my passion for fashion. I see fashion as the highest form of art, and I love to be the canvas on which that art is painting. I do consider myself pretty, of course, but I am not a classic beauty by any means, in American or Asian standards. I represent a different type of beauty, one that is less celebrated but should be more. I am also an Asian woman, and as there are few famous Asians in fashion, I think there need to be more of us in the industry. Also, I will admit that I am by no means the youngest girl here, but I would like to show that age shouldn't stop you from persuing your dreams. And finally, the biggest factor, is that this is part of me being my own person, and I encourage others to be their own person too.
