Leighton's acting tonight

So I thought that she deserved a thread for her acting on tonight's episode, 2x19.

I mean she's done crying/vulnerability scenes, but I thought tonight her performance was extra amazing! Especially the parts where she's begging the dean and crying and the part with nate and his pep talk.

I think it was Josh saying, in some extra feature clip on the season 1 DVD, that Leighton captures every emotion and expression Blair is supposed to feel/show perfectly, and I couldn't agree more.

She's really such an amazing actress, and I am so glad that now she's getting the media hype and credit she deserves.

I completely agree she is such a wonderful actress she knows how to convey every emotion and even when she's being manipulative and vengeful i still love her because that's what blair is complex and she has flaws and i love all of them because leighton plays her sooo well

She was SPECTACULAR! I mean she is fantastic in every episode no matter what but last night she extra sold it to me. She made me cry every time she was crying. She is so amazing. She is deff one of my favorite actresses.

I agree that Leighton's acting was good, especially when she was trying to make Chuck angry (at home with Carter), at the Dean's house begging for a college admission, and when she was trying to seduce Chuck.

Still though, Ed Westwick is a good actor too in his scenes in this episode. And he must really be a stellar actor, because his attept to control his breathing (or himself) in the scene where "Blair" tried to seduce "Chuck" in the office seemed awfully real to me. (Its the part just before she first kisses him, and he's breathing heavily through pursed lips while his nostrils flared.)

i absolutely agree w/ u all! leighton meester is a wonderful, talented actress. as a viewer, i could feel blair's every emotion. she's a joy to watch and she deserves all the credit. hope to see her in movies soon!
