Lightbulb Re: January 15th Episode - Tell us what you think

Been reading all, was in two minds of joining in or not but, here goes.

LOVED IT!

I am overjoyed when the writers manage to tie what goes on inside Dean and Sam with what happens to them on the job. It's human, whatever you go through in a day you relate to yourself.

The introduction of Dean and Sam was great, I loved it! They make the story that comes out in the dialouge completely beliveable with the way they are acting.

About Dean enjoying hell... let the one without guilt cast the first stone. You were a saint when you were a kid were you? Never hit your little sister because you could? Never... well, I am not about to tell you all evil things I did because I am still ashamed.

Actually, I KNOW it's part of growing up, that you remember what you did and finally understand what was so bad about it = the only way to become a responsible, balanced adult. Making up for what you did in helping others avoiding it. Feeling compassion because you know what it's like to feel guilty and afraid? It's all about being at your wits end how to behave in a forced situation. May all my friends have been through hell so they can forgive what needs to be forgiven.

So, sorry all of you who don't buy Dean and Sam's humanity, it's just humanity. And considering how easy it is for us to change once we know why and what we did was wrong... There is hope enough for all of us.

I was really, really scared the whole episode. I kept worrying about where everyone was because I couldn't bear the thought of Dean breaking apart if he didn't manage to save them. Good job!

"We forget what we are at our own peril. "Incest, rape, young people dying before their time, well, that's unfortunately part of the world. I never like to hear about it but sometimes we need reminders. Also, we need a bit of compassion for people even when they are making mistakes, this episode told me, again, that Erik Kripke and the writers know this. I especially remember "Folsom Prison Blues".

The story? Great! Loved it. More Impala confessions, please.

Sam's reactions? I am sure he is waiting until Dean has gotten it all off his chest, THAT'S when you start talking someone away from the edge! You don't save people by yelling, after their first: "I feel guilty because I did that". YOU WAIT UNTIL YOU GET THE STORY! Then you listen to the inconsistencies and go for them while you're thinking like mad about the WAY IN to reach the person in front of you. I am just wondering if it will be Sam, Bobby or Ellen who says first: "So, have you quit your whining now? Ready to listen? Think you are beyond redemption?" Or some line like that.

I feel sure that Erik Kripke and the writers are experienced humans and will sort through all the emotions in order, so far we have denial, part confession, hate-myself-tell-it-all... What's the next step?

And I love you all, all of you who read this, you are humans, you are worth loving, you are reading long posts, you are thinking, you have hearts that reach out. Well, I teach teenagers every day and if you can love a teenager you are half way there.

I really liked the episoded. It was a good old by the book job, but not a boring one a really good one with a nice deja vu ending. But a bit more storyline would have been nice, too. I hope in the next episode they will bring back some angels demons or whatever their crazy minds come up with

I honestly cannot find one negative thing to say about this ep. It was perfect, a good old fashioned haunting although it turned out not to be a ghost. The story was great, the atmosphere was spot on, the family were great and Sam and Dean, Jared and Jensen were, again, perfect. I loved it.
Dean's confession that he enjoyed torturing souls whilst in hell was heartbreaking.
Can't wait for next week.

The boys are well and truly back.

I'm a Sam girl to the end but I really don't think the show is all about Dean. Dean has recently been through the traumatic experience of hell hence why so much 'emo' scenes with him. But even though the screen focuses on Dean, Sam's emotional turmoil is also highlighted. Sam is front row to Dean's pain. Yes, Sam may not get alot of dialogue but his watchful eye over Dean and his unwavering support of Dean speaks volumes!

Sometimes it what Sam DOESN"T say that has the most dramatic impact!

I thought the actors/actresses were not good at all. Perhaps it was the teenage daughter and the actions of the rest of the group that really threw me off. ?

Dean and Sam did great as usual but when Dean started talking about hell, it just seemed so forced and staged this time.

I'm still trying to figure out who killed the girl?

This episode was Fawesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
My heart was beating so fast the entire time!! And I was praying for them to come out alive!! (Although I know they will..but still)
I think the only time I laughed(nervously) during this episode was when Dean started praying "Please nobody grab my legs, Please nobody grab my legs"

The writing was spot on!! Jeremy Carver wrote an excellent script! And very very good twists!
After Kim Manners I think Phil Sgriccia is the best director that Supernatural has got, followed closely by Robert Singer. I've noticed Phil's episodes usually turn out to be fast paced, heart-beating real fast kinda episodes. It was the same case with Bloody Mary and the same case with Nightmare. Excellent direction!!!
And all the 5 guest stars were excellent. Even though the kids didn't have much lines I didn't forget about them one second! They had good presence. The 5 of them were very much alive. Nobody's acting felt dead to me!
And the killer, oh wait TWO killers! They say that people tend to be more scared of the things that they can't see. But that was so not the case here. Even though we got a good look at them, I freaked out every single time I saw them. I don't know how they managed to pull that off. I had 5 OMG moments where I had to cover my mouth with my hand. And I jumped for every single one of those moments. This episode was much much MUCH better than The Benders, where the thing Dean and Sam were hunting wasn't Supernatural.
And the acting by the Winchester duo was amazing!!! I wanted to hug Dean when he broke the news to the family that Ted was dead. He was trying to be brave but inside he was falling apart. He potrayed that so beautifully!!
Definitely one of my fav episodes!! Keep 'em coming Kripke. You're doing GREAT!!!!!!

Am I the only one who felt as if it was missing the Supernatural element?

It was Kim Manners who directed this epi right? The dark mood and creepy atmosphere was awesome. He never disappoints and I hope he will be directing more ...

The last scene.....It has left me stunned...in a bad way , the awesomeness I felt about the 410 confession is just ...GONE...like magic

Angsty Dean is great but its a bit too much....the storyline is still stuck and not moving on at all !! Dean has to deny , confess , and grow up , its realistic and reasonable , but its really getting too slow , time to move on to the next stage Dean...
