NO! Second season is so much better. LESS brief story-lines, less random jumps from plot to plot, and more character depth.

Sinclair is doing a MUCH better job than the previous director/writer.

I don't like how out of the blue Silver and Naomi are friends again, and I hate how Silver totally forgives Naomi for being a "female dog" to Annie over nothing, but when Annie gets a small amount of revenge Silver completely abandons Annie. It really made me angry when DIXON stopped talking to her! She was always there for him and then after one rumor her abandons her?
And now there's talks of Adriana becoming a lesbian...wth? Their ruining all the characters! The only characters who haven't changed are the mean ones like Naomi!!!!! ERG!

I prefered the 1st season but for different reasons

I love Silver and Naomi reunite (they were old friends)

Annie didnt give Silver a single call during the summer if you noticed...

Dixon is selfish 16 years old boy and thats normal so its normal if his sister makes him to attend summer school because of her actions not to be happy beside the whole thing makes sense, Annie alienate herself for her own reasons...

Andriana is a typical teenager with problems and it is possible to find herself fall in love with another girl...

First season was better because of the photography and the sets + the often appearance of alums like Kelly, Brenda and Donna!

Now lets look at the problems of season 2: trivial story-lines are being dragged and stretched for way too long. We're getting forced friendships/relationships, contrived unrealistic plots and terrible writing. The writing is so bad it insults the intelligence of the viewers. I'm not easily amused but I guess some people are.
