What Are your thoughts on Dean being Michael?

I agree, for me i'm not that excited for that to happen. I would much rather see Dean be michael for one or two episodes and have the angst with Sam and Bobby and Cas about what dean will be like,but have him be ok with only memory loss...espcially of hell.

I mean i WANT to see Sam be ticked off at Dean for doing something that could hurt him forever...but not be able to say it to him cause Dean doesnt remember anything about what happened or his past...

but i just like drama like that...

Even though i dont especially like it though , i see more and more clues that just make it LOOK like it is going that way.

But again it is just what i think or "infer" not what i really know..

Jumping in rather late here but I had an idea that I had to get out of my head.

I was thinking could Bobby be Michael or another archangel? Bobby did give Sam the amulet to give to John, maybe he is Michael or another angel and knew it would end up going to Dean. If Bobby were Michael it could be a reason he overtook the demon inside him, maybe he let the demon possess him for some reason. If Bobby is an angel, he could be a good one who is on the boys' side. Am I nuts?

Also, maybe it is a good thing Cas took Dean's amulet, could it maybe have lead Zach or Lucifer to Dean? Any thoughts?

Good question!!!!! I didnt even think about that. Could it be that there is another reason besides finding God that Cas wanted THAT amulet so bad? That would actually be kinda cool....

After a lot of thought I have decided that if Dean is Michael, I'm out. I want to see a show about humans defending humans, not Angels with Grace in trees. I don't care if Michael pulled an Anna and ripped out his Grace to become Dean. If Dean or Sam is not 100% human, then I am gone. The show that I loved will have become a travesty to me. There is no way I could ever buy it and no way I would not hate it. The writers may make it the most reasonable explanation in the world, but I will walk away and never look back.

I think Angels have emotions but are not allow to display them during a mission, and it's forbidden to get attached to their charges. They have to be neutral. They have to obey without questions or they are punished.

But , remember Raphael, the archangel was cleary displaying emotions. He was angry, he was in despair, sad , a bit scared and got some tears in his eyes. He has emotions.

Now back on topic. I think Dean could be Michael, because in numerous time , since season 1, he acts like an angel.

Dean season 1 , he obeyed John exactely the same way an angel obeyed GOD. Dean didn't need to know why John ordered them to go here or there. He didn't ask questions.

Sam was deeply annoyed by Dean' s behavior " I don't understand the blind faith you have in him " " it's not because dad want us to do it , we have to do it " and also sam asked how dean wasn't upset to just obey all the time without asking questions etc " and Dean answered, he wasn't if it was what it took to succeed .

It's an angel behavior. He said " He was a good son " , and in season 4, we understood , castiel and dean had that common point when it came to their father.

2/ When John died, Dean's world crashed... He was a mess and if Sam hadn't been at his side...God knows what would have happened... Angels are lost without their Dad, they are angry, they are violent, they are tired, and lost, and acted crazy.... Dean had the same lost attitude ( but angel didn't have sammy )

Castiel said the archangel are fierce, absolute and a most terryfing weapon.

Well Dean can be that scary. Season 2 with Gordon. we know Dean can fit the description. ( At the time , i thought our Dean was going Dark side)

Dean has already "qualities " that belongs to angels.

He has a strong sense of what is wrong and right ( Michael has too ).

He doesn't believe in God, but in fact it' appears he is more angry at God and conflicted with him because God didn't save his family and all the others people who needs help. So he prefers not to have faith . ( this could fit, if he is Michael and Michael is also pissed at his dad to have left the building )

well i ll stop here, because it's hard to write in english. It was just some thought about dean's behavior that can be similar to an angel.

Hi, deanloverplus, I don't think I've met you before! Your English is just fine BTW, & we're all used to talking with fans for whom English is a 2nd (or 3rd!) language Interesting theory, I hadn't thought about that but there are definite parallels between Dean behavior and angel behavior.

ITA, deanloverplus. And you're English is fine.

Also, not only does Dean have behaviour traits that are angelic, but also, he seems to be poised to be the leader of angels who are faithful to God, a role that is Biblically filled by Michael.

Here's a reason I don't think Dean could be Michael. Do angels have souls? Dean sold his soul to save Sam.

Also Dean was all set to die and the battle was over for him in "My Time Of Dying". Tessa came to him and if he would've went with her, then bye bye Michael or Michael's vessel. If John had not made the deal for Dean then the same thing.

Was Michael the one who sent Lucifer to hell in the first place? It just seems to me that maybe it took Michael or his powers to break Lucifer out of his cage.

Also you'd think Dean would have been able to hear Castiel when he tried to talk to him.

If Dean was a fallen angel or like Anna, he would still have powers like Anna did before she got her grace back. She moved things with her mind and she could hear the angels. You'd think Dean would be able to.

I still think Dean is a human being. I think that question about Mary and John being alive if Sam had never been born was interesting in "Changing Channels". Because suppose Sam had never been born, then Michael would have just kept on living as Dean and a human being for as long as Dean was alive or as long as a human body lasted. Don't get that.
